Join us for a meaningful and inspiring workshop hosted by the SIIT pawacikewikamik MakerLodge, where creativity meets community support. This special event highlights the impactful collaboration between SIIT and local Saskatoon business Hardpressed. This unique partnership has been raising funds to support residential school survivors across Saskatchewan through unique shirt designs created by SIIT students and printed through Hardpressed. Engage with the talented SIIT alumni—Shelby Omani, Jarrod Cappo, and Karalyn Cameron—who have each created a distinctive shirt design for our annual fundraising initiative. Hear firsthand about their creative process, the inspiration behind their designs, and the stories they wanted to share through their artwork. As part of the workshop, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to use Cricut machines to create your own Orange T-shirt featuring one of the three designs crafted by Shelby, Jarrod, or Karalyn. Select the design that resonates most with you and bring it to life using your own hands.

Meet the Designers: Engage with the talented SIIT students who have designed the shirts featured in our annual fundraising collaboration with Hardpressed. Hear firsthand about their creative process, the inspiration behind their designs, and the stories they wanted to share through their artwork.

Design Stories: Discover the journey each student took from concept to creation. Learn about the challenges and triumphs they experienced while bringing their designs to life, and how this project has impacted their personal and professional growth.

Q&A Session: Have your questions answered by both the students and Steve Thomson, founder of Hardpressed. This is a great opportunity to delve deeper into the creative and business aspects of this collaborative effort and gain valuable insights from those involved.
